PowerStep orthotics are developed with podiatric expertise to deliver clinically-informed foot support and pain relief for a wide range of common conditions. Support you can wear anywhere. For other slim-fit solutions, explore our PowerStep collection. Discover more dress shoe comfort products in our Foot Problems collection. Targeted support helps manage arch pain, heel pain, and the discomfort of dress shoes. Learn more about supporting your foundation. Key Features Low-Profile, Slim Design: Engineered with a significantly thinner profile than full-length orthotics, allowing it to slip into tight-fitting dress shoes, loafers, and flats without crowding. 3/4 Length Coverage: Provides targeted support to the heel and arch—the areas that need it most—while leaving the forefoot free for natural toe movement and flexibility. Lightweight, Breathable Construction: Made from lightweight materials that add minimal weight and bulk, enhancing comfort for all-day wear in professional or formal settings. Versatile Fit for Multiple Shoe Types: Ideal for dress shoes, women's pumps, men's oxfords, casual shoes, and even some athletic shoes where a full insole won't fit. Effective Arch & Heel Support: Delivers the core therapeutic benefits of PowerStep—podiatrist-designed arch shape and deep heel cup—in a space-saving format. Discreet Comfort: Provides substantial support that remains virtually invisible inside your shoe, so you can enjoy comfort without compromising your look. Easy to Transfer: Lightweight and sturdy enough to be easily moved from one pair of shoes to another as needed. No Trimming Required (Typically): The 3/4 length design often fits perfectly without any cutting, making them ready to use right out of the box. Therapeutic Benefits and Use Arch Support for Dress Shoes: Provides crucial arch support in footwear that typically offers none, reducing strain on the plantar fascia and mitigating arch pain and fatigue. Heel Pain & Shock Absorption: The integrated heel cup cushions heel strike and helps alleviate pain from plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, or general heel bruising. Comfort for Flat Feet in Formal Wear: Offers a discreet solution for individuals with flat feet or over-pronation who need support but cannot fit bulkier orthotics in their dress shoes. Prevents & Relieves General Foot Discomfort: Reduces the overall aching and tiredness that comes from spending long hours in unsupportive shoes. Improves Shoe Fit: Can sometimes improve the fit of a slightly loose shoe by taking up a small amount of volume in the heel and arch area. Preventive Foot Care: Helps prevent the development of foot problems caused by chronic wear of unsupportive footwear, especially in work environments requiring formal dress. Travel Comfort: An excellent travel companion, providing support during long days of walking in city shoes or while navigating airports. Post-Shoe Surgery Recovery: May be recommended for use during the transition back to regular shoes after foot surgery, providing support in a low-bulk format. Product Specifications Brand/Series: PowerStep SlimTech Product Type: 3/4 Length Orthotic Insole Style/Length: 3/4 Length (Heel to Arch) Design: Low-profile, slim, lightweight. Best For: Anyone who wears dress shoes, tight-fitting flats, or other footwear with limited volume and needs effective arch and heel support without bulk. Frequently Asked Questions Will these 3/4 length insoles stay in place in my shoe?Yes. They are designed with a adhesive strip on the bottom. Peel off the backing and press firmly into the shoe's existing footbed, aligning the heel. They will stay securely in place. How do I choose the right size for orthotic insoles?Select your corresponding shoe size (e.g., if you wear a Women's 8 shoe, order a Women's 8 insole). The 3/4 length design is less critical for precise length matching than full-length insoles. Can I use these in high heels? They are designed for shoes with a closed back and some arch structure. They may fit in some low to medium heels with a closed toe box, but very high heels or strappy sandals typically won't have the necessary structure to hold them. Do I need to remove my shoe's existing insole?Usually, yes. For the SlimTech to work effectively and fit properly, you should remove the original flat, flimsy insole that came with your shoe and replace it with this one. Are they noticeable when walking? No, they are designed to be discreet. You will feel the supportive arch and cushioned heel, but they should not create a visible lump or bulge in your shoe. Can they be trimmed if they are slightly too wide?It is not recommended, as trimming could damage the structural integrity of the arch support. It's best to select the correct size. They are designed to be slim, so width is rarely an issue in appropriately sized shoes. How should I clean this product?Spot clean with a mild detergent. Do not immerse in water. Allow it to air dry completely. Your Comfort, Our Commitment PowerStep SlimTech 3/4 Length Orthotic Supports deliver essential support where dress shoes offer none. Frequently Asked Questions How long does it take to get used to Powerstep Original orthotics? Most users adapt within 3-7 days. Start by wearing them for a few hours each day, gradually increasing wear time. Your muscles and feet need time to adjust to the proper alignment. How do I choose the right size for orthotic insoles?Select your corresponding shoe size. The insoles are designed to be trimmed along the provided lines if needed for a perfect fit in your specific shoe. Sizes correspond to standard Men's and Women's shoe sizes (e.g., size 'D' fits Men's 7-7.5 / Women's 9-9.5). Can I use these in any type of shoe? They are designed for use in closed-toe shoes with a removable insole, such as athletic shoes, casual sneakers, and some work shoes. They are typically too thick for dress shoes or flats. How often should I replace my Powerstep orthotics? For optimal support and cushioning, replace them every 6-12 months with regular daily use, or when you notice the cushioning has compressed or the arch support feels less firm. Will these help with knee or back pain?Yes, by correcting foot alignment and over-pronation, they can help reduce abnormal forces that travel up the legs to the knees and back, potentially alleviating pain in those areas. Dual-Layer Cushioning: Offers the same comfortable, pressure-relieving cushioning as standard PowerStep models, spread over a wider surface area. Prevents Edge Dig-In: The broader design ensures the supportive edges of the orthotic sit comfortably on the foot's platform rather than digging into the arch or sides. Compatible with Wide Shoes: Designed to fit properly inside shoes designated as Wide (W) or Extra Wide (XW), making them a practical addition to your footwear. Therapeutic Benefits and Use Support for Wide Feet & High Volume Feet: Delivers essential arch and heel support to individuals who have struggled to find OTC orthotics that are wide enough to be comfortable. Reduces General Foot Discomfort in Wide Shoes: Transforms comfortable wide shoes into therapeutic shoes by adding structured support where it's typically lacking. Prevents Foot Fatigue: The combination of wider support and cushioning reduces muscle fatigue and aching in the feet and calves during prolonged standing or walking. Diabetes & Neuropathy Considerations: The wider, non-constricting design can be a safer, more comfortable option for individuals with diabetes who require extra-wide, non-binding footwear and support. Product Specifications Brand/Series: PowerStep Wide Fit Product Type: Full Length Orthotic Insole (Wide Width) Style/Design: Wide Fit Orthotic with broader platform. Fit: Wide width accommodation. Select your standard shoe length, but choose the "Wide" variant. Best For: Individuals with wide feet, bunions, swollen feet, or those who wear Wide (W) or Extra Wide (XW) shoes and need effective arch support and cushioning. Frequently Asked Questions How do I know if I need Wide Fit orthotics? If standard orthotics feel too narrow, cause pinching on the sides of your feet, or your feet spill over the edges, you likely need a wide fit. Also, if you consistently buy Wide or Extra Wide shoes. How do I choose the right size for orthotic insoles?Select your corresponding shoe length AND ensure you choose the "Wide" option. For example, if you wear a Men's 10 Wide shoe, order a Men's 10 Wide insole. Can I trim the Wide Fit orthotics if they are too long?Yes, they come with trim lines for length. However, do not attempt to trim the sides for width, as this will compromise the arch support structure. Will these fit in my regular "D" width shoes? No. They are designed for shoes marked as Wide (W) or Extra Wide (XW). Attempting to put them in a medium-width shoe will make the shoe feel painfully tight and could damage the orthotic. Do they help with pain on the ball of the foot (metatarsalgia)?Yes, the wider platform and cushioning help distribute pressure more evenly across the forefoot, which can alleviate pain in the ball of the foot. Are Wide Fit orthotics only for men?No, they are for anyone with wider feet. Both men and women with wide foot shapes can benefit from them. Women should select their corresponding women's shoe size in the Wide Fit option. How should I clean this product?Spot clean with a mild detergent. Do not immerse in water. Allow it to air dry completely. Your Comfort, Our Commitment PowerStep Wide Fit Orthotic Supports deliver therapeutic support designed for wider foot shapes.
