Why Should You Swaddle Your Baby? Swaddling recreates the snug embrace of the womb to help soothe babies. Plus, it prevents startles, arm-flailing, and accidental nose-whacks keep your baby snoozing longer and happier. Note: For the first 6 months of life, babies should only sleep on the back.
