The Mater Accent Side Table is a simply sculptural and solid piece, in the same vein as the Mater High and Low Stools. It is made out of solid FSC-Certified oak in a deep Sirka Grey stain. While useful as a single table beside a sofa or bed, 2 or 3 Accent Side Tables can also be clustered together to create a unique multi-level coffee table. Founded in 2006 by Henrik Marstrand, Mater (Latin for “mother”) is a Danish lighting and furniture brand with a highly ethical approach to design. As a way to improve the environmental and social impacts of production, Mater sums up their company mission in three words: Design, craftsmanship and ethics. Using responsibly sourced materials to create their timeless designs, Mater not only strives to preserve traditional techniques, but takes care to create a cooperative environment between designers and artisans both in Denmark and abroad.
