    Rainbow Blend beets are an exciting variety of beet with 5 different colors in the blend. They are easy to grow at home. Plant seeds ½” below the soil surface directly outside in full sun in either an individual container or a garden. Each beet root will grow to be up to 3” wide so plant seeds around 4” apart. Foliage will grow to be 6-12” inches tall and roots will grow to be 2-4” long when it is time to harvest. Fertilizer may help enhance plant growth if soil is not rich. It is time to harvest when roots are 2-3” inches wide and this can be done by pulling them out or digging for them if necessary. After harvest beets make an excellent addition to any dish that needs an extra zest and color added to it. Leaves can be stored for up to 2 days and roots can be stored up to 10 days both should be refrigerated.
