2014 debut album from the Canadian Progressive Metal band formally known as Today I Caught the Plague. The band released one album and an EP under their previous name but LIFE IN LUCIDITY is the first release as The Kindred.

I was born and raised in New Hampshire and still live there today. I started taking piano lessons at age 5. I soon realized I had an ear for music. I also started playing other instruments guitar bass and drums. By the time I was 13 I was writing my own songs. I began recording on a 4 track. I thought it was great that I could record each instrument separately on a different track and then put it all together in the end. I loved recording so much that I soon bought a 12 track digital recorder. By the time I was 15 I already had songs that I wrote performed and recorded. I now record on a Mac computer program called garage band. I played in several Rock Bands in High School. And soon after graduation I decided to go to The New England Institute of Arts and Communications in Boston Mass for recording engineering. I soon realized I didn t want to record other peoples music I wanted the world to hear my music. Since then I ve released two albums. The first being quot;Barricadesquot; in 2003 and the second quot;Harmonyquot; in 2005. Last year I was placed on the official Grammy Ballot in 7 different categories for two songs on my second album Harmony. My new album Another State of Mind has just been released and is a huge step from my other two. The songs are a lot stronger and the meanings to the songs really came alive. I love writing songs about everyday life. I always loved the feeling of listening to the right song at the right moment and feeling like the song is about you. That s what I want to do with my music. I am currently writing songs and playing gigs as much as possible. My main goal is to write songs for TV and movie sountracks. I would also love to write songs for other artists in the future. I think my music is enjoyable for all ages and many can relate to the songs. I ve enjoyed playing music my whole life. I feel like every time I pick up a guitar or sit at a piano something great is just waiting to be discovered.

An iconic Canadian media figure Sook-Yin Lee is an award-winning filmmaker musician actor visual artist and broadcaster who has immersed herself in myriad creative collaborations. Many of them were made with her life partner and frequent co-creator Adam Litovitz including their 2015 ethereal electroacoustic album jooj. Though Litovitz passed away in 2019 his work with Lee lives on with jooj two an unapologetic dive into playful art-pop and a document of a lost language between lovers. While financial difficulties and external pressures contributed to the end of their romantic relationship Lee and Litovitz remained best friends and creative partners. As he was busy with a soundtrack for Netflix Litovitz gave Lee his blessing to continue working on their second album without him. Increasingly Litovitz struggled with anxiety and depression compounded by a prescription drug dependency that exacerbated insomnia and pain. Tragically he died by suicide June 16 2019. Litovitz s passing was a profound loss for Lee and so many who loved him. Lee saw pieces of his irrepressible spirit-as well as the story of their relationship-contained within the music they had recorded for jooj two and was determined to share it with the world. With the assistance of mixer Steve Chahley (U.S. Girls Badge Époque Ensemble Darlene Shrugg) Lee completed this album and will share it with the world this spring. There is an intentionality and inherent uniqueness to jooj two s songwriting approach that first took shape by Lee responding to a musical phrase with vocal melodies and stream of consciousness lyrics. Those experiments were transcribed and delightfully interpreted by Litovitz then returned to Lee for finessing. The resulting wordplay across eleven enigmatic and accessible tracks evokes the feeling of a new language being born. ... a one woman media arts convergence. Originally scheduled for RSD 2020 Pink Flag have decided to make 10:20 a regular LP/CD release. A glimpse into Wire s working practices when Wire play live there are different 3 classes of pieces that are performed new songs old songs and new old songs. The latter often involves taking something that existed on a previous release and re-working it very often evolving a stage highlight from it. There also pieces that have never seen a major release but for some reason never fitted on an album. The best of these ideas were recorded in 2 sessions - one relating to Red Barked Tree but recorded in 2010 and another relating to Wire s latest album Mind Hive released in 2020. Incidentally celebrating the decade Matt Simms has been with the band. The album divides in to two halves - the 2010 side & the 2020 side - hence the title.
