Scientific Evidence:

In a double-blind study of 60 participants, researchers investigated the effects of zinc supplementation on wound healing and metabolic status in patients with diabetic foot ulcer. After 12 weeks of intervention, zinc supplementation was associated with significant reductions in ulcer size compared to placebo. 
A 1996 study established a strong link between zinc levels and testosterone in young men. After a low zinc diet of 20 weeks, testosterone levels in the participants significantly dropped by 73.4%.
In a combined analysis of two studies involving 94 participants, the use of vitamin C and zinc together proved more effective than a placebo in reducing rhinorrhea (runny nose) after 5 days of treatment, offering quicker symptom relief.
