Electric City Roasting® Signature Blend Blue Moose® is the first coffee blend created by Electric City Roasting®. Our founder, Mary Tellie, was searching for a Specialty Premium Coffee blend that would offer the perfect attributes to drink every day, and that would allow anyone to integrate it into their daily routine. Making it the perfect reliable and consistent house coffee. Mary’s focus was on the attributes that would perfectly meet the standard for a great house blend. It took a lot of time to perfect such a blend, but with perseverance, she discovered a combination of specialty coffees from South and Central America that made this perfectly balanced coffee that has been a favorite of our customers from the start. Our key to success came from the roast process. By roasting these coffees separately, they have the opportunity to harness their unique flavors. Once completed, we combine these coffees to create the coveted Blue Moose® Specialty Coffee. This technique gives us the opportunity to control the peak roast profiles of each coffee, which typically lands at a medium roast; this brings out the attributes we look for in each cup. Why is it named, "Blue Moose®"? A quote from our CEO, Mary Tellie: “Well it just so happens that Moose was a childhood nickname I could never quite shake off. And Blue — that came from the fact that I spent the first twenty-five years of my career in banking and always wore a blue suit. It appears both have been with me for my entire journey around the globe.” Now, this amazing coffee continues to maintain its place as our best seller across all channels.
