The Lafite Rothschild family have been making fine wine in Bordeaux for centuries. The Domaines Barons de Rothschild have used their expertise to craft a selection of fine wines which are ready to drink and dont require the cellaring of their grands vins.This wine is made according to traditional methods in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This wine is subtly wooded, in order to keep a good balance between the fruit and the oak. The majority of aging took place in stainless steel vats with 40% of the blended wines in oak. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot.Nice color with glints of crimson. Seductive nose, offering a broad aromatic palette in which scents of red fruit and blackberries mingle with roasted notes of mocha and toast from the barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is generous and balanced, with a pleasant freshness and superb long finish. Pair with mushroom fricassee or firm cheese such as English Cheddar.
