Product information for Digitech DOD-LOOKINGGLASS Looking Glass Overdrive Pedal
Cut through the mix and dial in any raunchy, raw tone you desire with the DigiTech DOD Looking Glass Overdrive Pedal. Step through the Looking Glass into a new world of overdrive. Dial in the ideal reflection of your sound with a set of powerful, yet simple controls. You can keep things simple and use the Looking Glass for tone shaping, glassy boost, and light overdrive, or go further down the rabbit hole into the raw, psychedelic sounds of a vintage amp pushed to the brink of failure. Featuring a new hybrid of Class-A discrete FET design, the Looking Glass’ asymmetrical clipping is so responsive that it can go from one end of the spectrum to the other with not only a flick of a switch but with a pick attack alone.Boutique Pedal CraftThe Looking Glass Overdrive is collaboration between DOD and the boutique pedal company SHOE Pedals. Christopher Venter of SHOE Pedals is known for his unique circuits, colorful perspective on classic effects, and minimalist design aesthetic.Versatile Tone ControlBuilt for maximum versatility, the Looking Glass’ unique Input Filter feature allows the player to tame overly bright guitars and interacts with your guitar’s pickups to help you cut through the mix without shredding the audience’s ears. The versatile, intuitive pre-drive Bass Cut and post-drive Treble controls allow you to retain clarity in the mix or dial in any raunchy raw tone you desire. And, there’s enough output and gain on tap to make even the Red Queen lose her head.Pure Bypass ClarityThe Looking Glass is a true bypass, which allows your guitar tone to remain pristine even when it is off and the power supply input makes it pedalboard-friendly.Versatile, Intuitive Pre-Drive Bass Cut and Post-Drive Treble ControlsAllows you to retain clarity in the mix or dial in any raunchy raw tone you desire.Unique Input Filter ControlAllows the player to tame overly bright guitars and interacts with your guitar’s pickups to help you cut through the mix without shredding the audience’s ears. Shape your tone from glassy boost and light overdrive to the psychedelic sounds of a vintage amp pushed to the brink of failure.Internal DIP SwitchesThe Looking Glass’ Input Filter control is passive and interacts nicely with your guitar’s electronics when not using a buffer in front of it. However, when using buffered pedals before the Looking Glass you may want to adjust the two internal DIP switches to darken the tone further. The left DIP switch increases the input impedance of the pedal. The right DIP switch engages a darker voicing of the Input Filter.Level ControlThis control is used to set the output level of the pedal.Gain ControlThis control is used to control the intensity of overdrive or distortion. Turn left for less distortion.Treble ControlThis control allows the player to turn down high frequencies after the main distortion stages of the pedal.Input Filter ControlThis control allows the player to tame overly bright guitar and tailor the attack and midrange.Bass Cut ControlThis control allows the player to reduce bass response before the distortion stages of the pedal to retain clarity and further adjust the pedal's gain response.High or Low Gain SwitchThe Looking Glass offers two different overdrive modes. The Low mode is used for clean tone shaping, light compression, and lower gain overdrive. The High mode picks up roughly where the Low mode leaves off by boosting the pedal and allows you to dial in Low to High gain overdrive sounds that remain highly touch sensitive through the range.
