CLEARANCE - My Chess
The Ideal Chess Journalist During his active chess career, Hans Ree battled with almost all the great chessplayers, including eight world champions, from Max Euwe to Anatoly Karpov. My Chess is not only about them, but also about other players and writers from the past who are admired by Re. This book gives a personal view of ReeâÂÂs own world of chess, and therefore less prominent players also appear, such as a schoolmate with whom he played an endless series of matches, or the anonymous âÂÂA6648,â who played more than a half-million games on the Internet Chess Club. In addition, the question is finally answered why the great Dutch author W.F. Hermans designed a chess set made of cigarette lighters, but did not want to play chess. Though the game of chess and its practitioners are certainly not idealized, this book is in the first place, a loving description of a world brimming with striking personalities, and an inexhaustible source of stories. About the Author Grandmaster Hans Ree (1944) is a four-time Dutch champion, and represented his country from 1966 through 1994 in every chess Olympiad. From 2001-2007, he was the wearer of the âÂÂEuwe Ring,â an award for outstanding service to Dutch chess. He writes about chess in NRC Handelsblad, New in Chess magazine, and on the American website Russell-Enterprises.com. Internationally he is considered to be one of the best chess writers of his era. âÂÂA grandmaster, excellent writer and careful researcher who doesn't seek out controversy, but is equally unafraid to plumb the sometimes murky depths of chess politics, Ree is an ideal chess journalist.â â Jon Speelman, The Observer

CLEARANCE - Grandmaster Secrets - Practical Play -...
One of the major mistakes over 95% of club players make is working on different aspects of the game and never utilizing them together.àClub players learn chess openings, middlegames, and endings separately, but never see those elements working hand-in-hand. Grandmasters, on the other hand, know how to employ all those to create a masterful win. Everything is interconnected and one stage serves as a continuation of the other â in full harmony.àThatâÂÂs why you get that feeling of âÂÂeffortlessnessâ after observing a GM game. Grandmasters have many âÂÂsecretsâ of practical [aka effective] play that they use for achieving those effortless wins. This is something very important for any chess player, but unfortunately next to impossible to master on your own.àOr at least it was the case until today⦠To help youàlearn how GMs work during the tournaments and apply their knowledge àwe did something quite extraordinary. CLEARANCE - The Nimzo-Indian Bible for White - Vol...
#html-body [data-pb-style=OI6CYUV]{justify-content:flex-start;display:flex;flex-direction:column;background-position:left top;background-size:cover;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-attachment:scroll} This book is about the Nimzo-Indian Classical line 4.Qc2 (also known as the Capablanca Variation) and the 4.Bd2-line, for which basically I could not find an established name. As far as I know, the 4.Bd2 line has never been covered in such a comprehensive way in any book before. In the text I suggest that this line should have the combined name of Tartakower-Duchamp line because Tartakower played it often, while to my surprise Marcel Duchamp (who was also a famous French artist) played it too in the 1930s and indeed in a very good positional fashion against strong players. Some of those games are in the book. Now this line enjoys greater popularity than ever before. About the Classical line with 4. Qc2 there is nothing much to add, except for the fact that it has become hugely popular, but unfortunately from my point of view it involves too much engine-style chess. The Nimzo-Indian Defense has been one of the most trusted defenses against 1.d4. It combines fast development with a solid pawn structure, control over the center and great flexibility. This book supplies an unique repertoire built upon positional principles, offering active piece play and a fight for the initiative. This ground-breaking and well-structured book presents a new look at the Nimzo-Indian for White. Playing this opening requires a thorough positional understanding, the author shows you how to implement his new ideas in the best ways possible. Milos Pavlovic presents fresh ideas in the various continuations, as well as quite a few novelties and previously unknown resources for both Black and White.
