2018 Jean Boisselier Coteaux Bourguignons Rouge
Product information for 2018 Jean Boisselier Coteaux Bourguignons Rouge
Our Jean Boisellier Coteaux Bourguignons Rouge comes from near France’s coveted Burgundy region. With aromas of berries and spice, the wine is soft and subtle on the palate with prominent strawberry and raspberry flavors, followed by a hint of black pepper. Despite its youth, this wine is sure to carry the signature terroir of Burgundy that made the region famous. This wine features Gamay grapes, members of the Pinot Noir family that produce light-bodied reds such as this. The grape is grown throughout the Burgundy region as a substitute for the traditional Pinot Noir, and its light and subtle characteristics have impressed wine enthusiasts while still maintaining the traditional elegance found in all Burgundian wines. Pair our Coteaux Bourguignon Rouge with poultry, rabbit, tomato sauces, steamed vegetables, and even some fish. It is best served when slightly chilled to around 54 degrees. This wine is featured during a tasting in Episode 4: Annivesary Edition: Bordeaux and Burgundy of our podcast, Sniff Sip Repeat.
