Product information for Geoffrey’s Sustainable Selections Trio
“I believe designing a great meal always includes selecting a great bottle of wine.” – Chef Geoffrey Zakarian Discover wine that is as good in the glass as it is good for the earth with selections hand-picked by Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. He’s chosen red, white, and Rosé from a French company dedicated to using environmentally friendly practices in producing sustainable wines. These wines are vegan, and each one was awarded an impressive Gold Medal in the 2020 Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge. Wines in this trio, along with suggested pairings, include: 2019 Merveille de Vignes Chardonnay, a refreshing white made from grapes grown in Southern France. Crisp apple and creamy peach notes are joined by hints of citrus, white flowers, and tropical fruits. The finish is dry and smooth, making it a great choice with white fish, quiche, and veggie-based dishes, or enjoyed as an aperitif. 2019 Merveille de Vignes Grenache, an elegant, medium-bodied red. This Grenache boasts a flavorful bouquet of wild berries, licorice, plums, and cherries with subtle spicy undertones. Dry and elegant with silky tannins, this red is recommended when barbecue foods are on the menu. It will also complement cheeses and vegetable lasagna. 2019 Merveille de Vignes Grenache Rosé, a dry Rosé made from Grenache grapes. Fresh and fruity, this wine offers voluptuous aromas of red fruits with hints of raspberry and strawberry. It is elegant yet easy-drinking, and pairs well with grilled fare, or alongside a variety of salads (especially chicken Caesar).
